Welcome to Haus Von Areskars, we specialise in working, sporting and showing Rottweilers, showing off the breed's versatility . Our love of Rottweilers has been in the family from when my late grandfather purchased a pair many years ago. We started in 2018 with the purchase of my first girl WPCH Nebula Star of Areskars. We follow the KC standard very closely as well as the ADRK standard as that is the grandfather registry to the breed. Our Kennel Affix was granted in 2022 by the Kennel Club as ‘Areskars’ so all productions and future productions will carry this affix on their paperwork. We pride ourselves on breeding Rottweilers that can do work, sport or show and be an amazing family companion.

We compete and train in a mixture of work and sporting events sometimes being the only person with the Rottweilers at these events. Some of which are:

Weight Pull, this is a low impact sport in which a dog pulls a weight either on wheels or rails. It is very similar to what the Rottweilers did in the past as carting dogs, still showing off the genetics that are clearly there, we have competed under the GWPG, UKBKC and UKSDA.

Trail work, we compete in a Large sporting/trial event here in the UK called the AVD.e.V, a German club that specialises in Presa's, however they have a working test labelled as the ZWP in which they test the dogs' drive, courage, prey and thinking. We participate in sporting events like the UKSDA, where we do activities such as Lure race, A-Frame race, Tug of war, Long jump, High jump, treadmill race and much more. Showing off the versatility of the Rottweiler breed.

We show the dogs under the Kennel Club, the Unified Bull Breed Registry and other UK based registries. As we believe one of the ways a person can aim to breed to better the standard is by understanding the dogs flaws, through showing this allows us to understand what next we should look for in our dogs and breedings.

Obedience is something we strongly encourage all potential and current owners of our pups to do, as we believe it's key to keep control over our dogs.

We only purchase from active working, sporting or showing stock that are fully health tested. As we believe that in order to better a breed that you need to be looking at all factors from structure, health, temperament and in the Rottweilers case workability as well. We fully health test our dogs. These are the following tests we do for our dogs: JLPP, XLXTM, LEMP, NAD, DM, Long hair, Hips and elbows. With hips and elbows we score with both BVA and ANKC, and with genetics we test with Lablokin and Embark. It doesn't guarantee perfect health, however it does allow you to know your chances for something such as the hips should be very low and chances of JLPP be nonexistent as the dogs were tested so that carriers were not put together.
